To add the video thumbnail as the “Featured Image” for the post…. well here’s what you do.

Go to YouTube. Find the page with many videos on it, where it’s showing a thumbnail from the video you want to use. Right Click on the video thumbnail. Save the image as a file on your computer.  Now, when you’re editing the post in WordPress, look in the right hand column and you’ll see a place to remove or add the “Featured Image”. Remove the image if one is already set. Then click to add a Featured Image. In the pop-up window go to the tab where it lets you upload a image. Select the thumbnail on your local computer. Fill in the “alt text” with a description for those who are visually impaired. Click to insert it in the post.

Don’t forget to set the Post Category and any Tags. You can find those in the right hand column when editing.

SEO

Scroll down to find the YOAST SEO section. Click on the Snippet editor and type in a good page title (Include “- Kick It Up Coaching – Weight Loss Coaching” after your title, without the quotes).  Type in a snippet for the post description. This is what Google will show for the description in their search results. Use your important keywords for this specific post.

Remember – you can schedule posts to go out in the future!

LAST THING

In the right hand column choose “Video” if the post includes a video. Otherwise just leave it on the default setting.
