MEET SANDY
I was busy running around, taking care of my family, involved in our church and community. Like many of my friends, I wanted to drop a few pounds, but told myself that I looked “ok”. And then I looked at what should have been an heirloom picture from a family cruise and realized that
I didn’t even recognize the person looking back at me in the picture
I had a choice to make… continue to rationalize my priorities or face the facts, dig deep, and make a change.
In the process of losing that extra 25+ pounds (and keeping it off for 12 years now), I became a bit obsessed with understanding why and how
We can all make lasting change stick.

What I’ve Learned
A cookie cutter approach won’t work
We all need support, encouragement, and accountability
Lasting change requires a healthy relationship with food and activity
Staying current on the latest diets and trends can be exhausting ~ and leaves you to feel as though “it’s not worth it”
Losing the weight can literally help to save your life, allowing you and your doctors to notice changes in your body that are outside the realm of midlife changes to be expected
It’s never too late to begin building a healthier, stronger, happier lifestyle
