December Daily Tip #13–Alternate!

Do you want to increase your enjoyment, decrease your likelihood of a hangover and stay on track with your goals?  Simply alternate alcoholic beverages with water, club soda, or seltzer water.  The increase in non-alcoholic beverages will help counter the lasting effects the alcohol has on your brain (hangover and that fuzzy feeling) without having to completely forego the festive alcoholic beverages.  Liquor also has a disinhibiting side effect–so limiting these beverages cuts out empty calories while lessening the likelihood that you will be tempted by other unhealthy food choices and able to stick with the plan you created for a successful event.
