Those 3 little letters after my name (PCC) are your assurance of excellence in coaching.

I am extremely proud to announce that I have recently received my Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation and certification.  I want to thank my amazing clients and colleagues for, without you, I would not have been able to achieve this accomplishment.

Obtaining my PCC from the largest accreditor of professional trained coaches in the world, the International Coach Federation (ICF) means so much more to me than the three additional letters added to the end of my signature. The ICF is the gold standard in training of professional coaches and as their website states, “The ICF confers instant credibility upon its members.”

I recognize that these three very important letters will not solely provide me credibility. It is my dedication to my clients’ success and the success stories I foster in which credibility is gained. However, during a time where many novice entrepreneurs call themselves health, wellness and life coaches, it is very important to me to stand above the crowd as a Professional Certified Coach. My clients can be at ease knowing that I am dedicated to my professional education and training to better serve them as their professional weight loss coach.

Why, as a current or prospective client, might you care about those 3 little letters added to my signature line?

  1. Ethics: All members of the International Coach Federation (ICF) have pledged to uphold a strict standard of ethics regarding our scope of practice, methods, and client confidentiality.
  2. Education: To qualify for the PCC designation, I graduated from an accredited coaching school—The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, and passed a written exam from the ICF. Retaining my PCC designation will require further continuing education through the years to keep updating and refining my coaching techniques.
  3. Experience: The PCC (Professional Certified Coach) designation requires a minimum of 25 clients and a minimum of 500 coaching hours, and to retain my PCC, I will be required to show continuing direct coaching hours.
